DHT’s Diesel Technicians are currently participating in a training funded by the Michigan Works! Going PRO Talent Fund. The program funds 4 – 10-hour training classes taught by Baker College that will focus on the following topics: After Treatment, Preventative Maintenance, Transmissions (Automatic), and Multiplexing. DHT’s goal is to use these funds to continuously train our diesel technicians on industry standards, SmartWay, and equipment. DHT is the only Logistics fleet who has been accepted into this program.
Going PRO Talent Fund is awarded to employers to assist in training, developing, and retaining current and newly hired employees. Training funded by Michigan Works must be short-term and fill a demonstrated talent need experienced by the employer. Training must lead to a credential for a skill that is transferable and recognized by industry.
